Abstract

A plasma jet has been created in a plastic tube using a floating copper wire that collects electrical potential from a primary discharge far from the jet. The creation of the plasma jet away from the high voltage source makes it safe and quite practicable to use for biomedical applications. The effects of the geometrical parameters of the tube and the wire inside it used for collecting the discharge, on the plasma jet characteristics are investigated. It has been noticed that some parameters affect the electrical parameters of the primary discharge and have visual effects on the plasma jet size.
