Abstract
The paper deals with assessment of effectiveness of small and micro scale inverter based distributed generation (DG) support for stabilization of voltage in low-voltage distribution system (DS) by means of its output active and reactive power control. Based on decisive parameters characterizing operation of DS under voltage level to output power control of the DGs, three independent evaluation factors are presented. Performance of the evaluating factors is in the paper tested by means of a simple radial LV network model with DGs distributed along the feeder, allowing modification of PQ(U) control strategy and of disponible power of the DGs parametrically. As a benefit from the performed extensive analysis, optimal PQ(U) control strategy is discussed and finally proposed.
