Abstract
This paper proposes an educational model for groups of investigation in technological programs based upon the concepts of self-learning and self-management. The aim of this model is the definition by levels of learning and the definition of some tasks needed in order to that the knowledge will be acquired by the students in formation on investigation, allowing to these generate new knowledge that will be taken advantage, first, for their lifes and second by the future students that will belong to the groups of investigation known such as research incubators, reinforcing the research cycle of these. The proposal presented is based on the Stage Self Direct Learning (SSDL) model, which is divided by stages of learning according to the role that the student or the professor could have in a determined course. In our case, it has chosen three levels of this model according to the features of our program which is of nature technological. That means that the time of preparation for labors outside of the curriculum is limited by some factors, e.g., lack of time or the restrictions in the schedules that a student could have during his educational process. These considerations were taken into account in consonance to the lineament established by the Colombian Education Ministry, which defines the educational standards that the technological programs must have in relation to the competences, the time dedicated by the student in the different subjects or academic labors and the scope of these programs to labor level. Nevertheless, though the present proposal was thought for technological programs of electronics, it could be extrapolated to other programs with similar structure, enhancing the educational process in the students and helping to they become long-term learners in different knowledge areas.
