Abstract
We propose a flexible tactile sensor with a TFT-based analog front-end as its sensor interface. Since the sensor is very sensitive to weak and dynamic force stimuli, subtle difference in textures can be converted to difference in force characteristics. Hence, material with different texture and roughness can be recognized. Further, tactile intelligence complementary to computer vision can be then achieved.
