Abstract

The paper presents the analysis of the solutions concerning hydro plants, optimal for the energy efficient conversion in Danube environmental conditions. Water energy conversion installations, their classification and the main constructive characteristics of water installations are presented. Also presented in the paper are the technical hydropower potential, economically manageable hydropower potential and hydraulic conversion systems developed so far, namely traditional system and hydraulic system that requires hydrographic arrangements.
