專欄文章的寫作剖析與翻譯策略：太極陰陽圖與最佳化分類

Abstract

本文從媒體專欄文章的主要類別及其辯證的本質為發端，接續討論能強化理解的柔性寫作技巧，以及著重邏輯與因果關係的硬性技巧。我們可以透過陰陽太極圖與樹狀圖的角度來歸納硬性推理技巧，從而理解到二分法的不可能以及分類的歸納所可能面臨的限制。畢竟，太多層級的分類是沒效率的。針對這個問題，本文提出一個最佳化分類的概念，主張透過此一概念來檢視專欄文章的邏輯脈絡以及構思適當的翻譯策略。以專欄文章而言，兩階段的樹狀圖分類大致是適合的，雖因特殊情境而或有例外。在本質上，寫作的架構是不穩定的，但我們依舊可以依循結構主義的角度來看待文章的推理脈絡，因為在最佳化分類之前以及最佳化分類底下的架構仍屬穩定。最後，本文提供一則心理分析的比喻以協助譯者構思翻譯策略。  This paper starts with the various categories of editorials from news outlet and highlights their inherent dialectic nature. It goes on to discuss soft skills that enhance reading comprehension and hard-core analytics that stress on logic and causation. The hard-core writing analytics can be analyzed through the lens of ying-yang symbol, or a corresponding tree diagram, which implies the impossibility of dichotomy and the inherent limitation of categorization, as too many layers of sub-categorization could be ineffective. This paper upholds the concept of optimal categorization, which would normally call for two layers, that helps to see through the writing analytics and conceive proper translation strategies. Although the structure of writing analytics could be inherently unstable, translator could still rely on a structuralist approach as the overall structure would remain largely robust and stable, prior and up to the stage of optimal categorization. Finally, this paper provides a psychoanalysis metaphor that helps to conceive translation strategies.
