Ageing is accompanied by several changes in the gastrointestinal (GI) system and older adults frequently present with GI problems. Ageing is a time of numerous illnesses and common disability. The most common health problems seen in all the elderly people are gastrointestinal disorders such as Gastro esophageal reflux disease, constipation, dyspepsia and peptic ulcer.
