Firstly, the paper analyses the current situation and bottlenecks in the development of electric arc furnace (EAF) short process steelmaking in China, then the integrated energy system for typical steel industrial community is constructed, and the carbon reduction potential of the steel industry in different contexts by constraining the proportion of EAF steel in the community is explored. Abstract
In order to reduce carbon emissions, this paper proposes a steel industrial low carbon development model. Firstly, the paper analyses the current situation and bottlenecks in the development of electric arc furnace (EAF) short process steelmaking in China, then the integrated energy system for typical steel industrial community is constructed, and the carbon reduction potential of the steel industry in different contexts by constraining the proportion of EAF steel in the community is explored.
