Abstract

In the course of convergent development, the peoples living on the Balkan Peninsula signi ficantly influenced each other, borrowing numerous cultural and linguistic phenomena. Thus determined the formation of the Balkan cultural and linguistic landscape. It is interesting to analyse the idioms with the meaning of blessing and curse in the Balkan Slavic languages, in particular in Bulgarian, Macedonian and Serbian, in comparison with the non-Slavic Albanian language.
