Abstract

A broadband multimode orbital angular momentum (OAM) four-feed circular patch antenna at 6 GHz is proposed in this study. The OAM antenna exhibits 5.8-dBi maximum gain, has an impedance bandwidth of 25% over the frequency range 5.2-6.7 GHz with more than 10-dB return loss. Additionally, the OAM modes + 1, -1 and OAM modes +2, -2 can be generated from 5.2 to 6.5 GHz, whose mode purity is much better than the previous two-feed configuration.
