Many developers wish to mask application-level failures from users and continue making forward progress. In this paper, we provide a kind of recovery approach for the distributed applications made by the composition of web services. Our approach aims at the application-level failures of the stateful business processes. At the same time, to keep service's autonomy and heterogeneous, the approach is based on the decentralized composition mode, in which the business process is distributed over different execution engines. The recovery tasks are realized by the cooperation of these engines.
