Abstract

In orphanages and care centers, according to the job lists, the position of “Librarian” is also pro-vided. The work in the mentioned institutions, however, is significantly different from the work carried out in school, community, scientific or other well-known libraries. The article presents remarkable facts and information reflecting the activity of this specialist, with examples of practical work, which will be useful for librarians working in this field. The research was carried out at the “Mari Izmirlyan” orphanage, whose more than 100 beneficiaries are people aged 0-18 who need special educational conditions.
