Dictionary in Libras to Disseminate Information on Human Sexuality An Application for Mobile Devices (DiSLibras)

Abstract

The present work aims to present a dictionary of sexuality in the Brazilian Language of Signals (Libras Língua Brasileira de Sinais), in the form of application for mobile devices. Firstly, the situation experienced by the deaf is contextualized in terms of their difficulty in accessing information related to sexuality, and how this affects their understanding of the subject. After this contextualization, the process of creating the application is presented, from the choice and categorization of the entries, to the recording of the videos and validation of the work done. Subsequently, some screens of the application are shown, evidencing how it is intended to make available the information of the dictionary. Finally, some considerations about the research are presented.
