Materials and methods. A retrospective analysis of emergency medical care for ophthalmological diseases was carried out according to the logs of emergency medical service call records of the Tambov Regional Ambulance and Disaster Medicine Station, and the registers of patients treatment in the emergency ophthalmological care and the emergency department of the Tambov Ophthalmological Clinical Hospital from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2021. Results. In total, during four calendar years (2018–2021), 53121 patients asked for emergency ophthalmological care in the Tambov Ophthalmological Clinical Hospital. The overwhelming majority of patients were urban residents 69.3 %, and the proportion of rural residents was 30.7 %. In the structure of the causes of emergency calls, injuries of the eye, its appendage and orbit are leading, and among patients with traumatic lesions, the male population prevails (72.4 %). For the period 2018–2021 there was an increase in the share of receipts to the emergency department of the Tambov Ophthalmological Clinical Hospital with an ambulance team from 19.3 % in 2018 to 30.8 % in 2021. Conclusion.
