The estimation of the error due to the lack of consideration in the solution of all harmonic components of the nonlinear current is made. Abstract

The approximations of the magnetization curve by incomplete polynomials of odd degree and the active loss curve are discussed, and also an estimate of the error in these approximations is provided in the article. The possibility of replacing the nonlinear resistance (conductivity) in mathematical modeling of a coil with a ferromagnetic core with linear resistance (conductivity) is shown.
