The work is devoted to the development of control laws based on an idea of the reversibility of the Lyapunov direct method for the stability analysis, and using the instantaneous value of energy as the predetermined Lyapunov function. It ensures operation with smaller sensitivity to the change of electrical machines parameters. The control system for extended motor speed control range with flux weakening has simple realization thank to this approach. Abstract

The electrical drive based on hybrid excited synchronous machine (HESM) can be good choice instead the tradition electric drive based upon induction motors due its higher performance index. Nevertheless, HESM drive is more sensitive to coordinate and parametric perturbations that may have influence on its performance, efficiency. Also, it may have substantial impact on control quality.
