Abstract

A plane homogeneous porous layer saturated by gas and water is considered. A mathematical model describing distributions of the saturants' pressure and mass density along the transversal coordinate depending of the amount of the gas accumulated in the layer is developed. On this basis, with the use of the know Gassmann model, effective elasticity moduli and phase velocities of longitudinal and transversal elastic waves are calculated.
