Abstract

In this paper we present the direct calculations of the reflection and transmission coefficients, threshold condition, total gain of 1D photonic crystals with air-dielectric layers of finite length. Moreover, using the same formalism the characteristics 1D photonic crystal wits thin Ga layers were calculated also. Estimations and calculations of gain characteristics of photonic band gaps structure aimed low-threshold laser creation were presented.
