Abstract

The purpose of our study was to explore the alignment of the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs School Counseling Diversity Standards with items on the School-Wide Cultural Competence Observation Checklist (SCCOC). A modified Delphi study methodology was chosen which resulted in one or more of the CACREP School Counseling Diversity Standards aligning with 31 of the 33 SCCOC items. These findings suggest the SCCOC is a viable training tool for use in counselor education programs.
