The Electronic Services and Efficiency for Banks in Taiwan

Abstract

This study investigates the undesirable impacts of outputs on bank efficiency with e-business in Taiwan from 2008 to 2017. To collect data, a linear monotone to decrease shifts to the e-business outputs was applied and adapted variables were used as outputs. Empirical findings indicate that bank efficiency with e-business is more prevalent than bank efficiency without e-business outputs, which implies that e-business outputs play a key role in hampering bank efficiency.
