Abstract
This paper describes some procedure considerations used by the DIEEC (Electrical and Computer Engineering Department) of UNED (Spanish University for Distance Education) in Spain to improve the student learning of practical aspects in the electronic teaching and reduce the time devoted to laboratory integrating multimedia capabilities to the distance textbooks that cover design, simulation and mounting of the circuits in an interactive environment based on personal computer. The new method proposed allows a minimum time for the laboratory (1 day - 8 hours - for every semester subject) thanks to a mandatory time previously devoted by the student at home or at the Study Canter (or in any place with a personal computer) of 30 to 35 hours, and the need to present a design and simulation paperwork that shows his maturity for the laboratory. The real laboratory work ended with the final remarks and updating of the previously presented paperwork
