The subjects of the research are Mahabarata’s human puppet show in Sriwedari, Indonesian Institute of The Arts (ISI) Surakarta, and Taman Budaya Jawa Tengah (TBJT) Surakarta. The steps in thisresearch are literature review, data collection and draw conclusion. The conclusion is The use of the puppet costume of the mahabarata series, Surakarta style was adjusted to the characteristics of the puppet figures and plays performed. Costume design is the result of visualization of fashion on the human puppet show. Abstract

This reseach is based on the variety interpretations on the human puppet show on the mahabarata story in Indonesia. 本研究以印尼摩诃婆罗多故事人偶表演的多种诠释为基础。这些不同的诠释产生了很多风格其中之一就是泗水风格。从舞者的服装中可以看出对泗水风格的诠释,这些服装具有适应当地传统的独特特征。本研究的目的是对摩诃婆罗多舞服在泗水风格中的运用进行深入细致的数据分析。本研究采用定性描述方法。研究的对象是摩诃婆罗多在斯里韦达里、印尼艺术学院(ISI)泗水和Taman Budaya Jawa Tengah泗水(TBJT)的木偶表演。本研究的步骤是文献综述,数据收集和得出结论。结论是采用摩诃婆罗多系列的木偶服装,根据木偶人物的特点进行了风格调整和表演。服装设计是时装在人偶上视觉化的结果。本研究的建议可为摩诃婆罗多的泗水风格舞蹈服装提供参考,并为保存泗水风格人偶提供知识贡献。
