Strengthening a Hybrid Model in Improving Sanitation in Informal Settlements of East African Cities

Abstract

Sanitation is a basic human right and poor sanitation and insanitary conditions are a threat to the health of the whole population. The policy brief argues that rather than promoting market or state-led approaches, combining the two is a more useful approach in improving sanitation in the informal settlements of East Africa Cities.
