Power/performance relations in downconversion mixers for wireless transceivers

Abstract

The downconversion mixer is one of the key blocks of the wireless receiver, and a significant power sink. This work is a simple first-order analysis of the dependance of power consumption of downconversion mixers in wireless transceivers on the performance parameters.
