It is established that the participants of hostilities experience moral and psychological, physical stress, which destroys the usual perception of the environment and life in general. Attention is focused on the fact that traumatic experience can lead to post-traumatic stress disorder, the adverse effect of which further leads to persistent personality changes. On the basis of theoretical analysis, it was established the physiological, emotional, behavioral symptoms of PTSD and the main directions of social and psychological assistance to overcome it. Recommendations have been developed for family members of combatants to improve their psycho-emotional state. Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the problem of post-traumatic stress disorder in combatants after their return to peaceful living conditions.
