Abstract
It is possible to measure properties of the early universe by making precise measurements of the intensity of the microwave radiation observable today over the entire sky. These measurements guide and constrain cosmological models of the early universe. This paper briefly describes the origins of this radiation, the technologies used to perform the measurement, and some of the results that have been obtained.
