Abstract

Shield tunneling performance is one of the most concerned problems in shield tunneling. In order to solve the shortage of the existing performance evaluation index to guide the construction, this paper proposes a performance evaluation index based on the thrust-torque ratio, and verifies the effectiveness of the thrust-torque ratio through actual engineering. The XGBoost prediction model with the shield construction parameters as input and the actual thrust-torque ratio as output is constructed to predict the tunneling performance, and the prediction model results turn out well. Based on this prediction model, the performance of a historical project can be effectively improved by optimizing the adjustable construction parameters.
