Abstract

DSDC's airport research during its global positioning system (GPS)-based runway incursion avoidance analysis and demonstration activities conducted at Manchester (NH) Airport is summarized. Based on the integration of realtime enhanced GPS and automatic dependent surveillance (ADS) with highly accurate three-dimensional airport maps, DSDC's Airport Control/Management System (AC&M) has the capability to provide all-weather air and ground navigation and control for a variety of vehicles within the airport terminal area.
