Abstract
When solving problems of optimal control of objects from various fields of science and technology, difficulties arise due to the high dimension of the models and the presence of several parameters. In this regard, it becomes necessary to carry out a complete separation of the state variables of the original system.
The article proposes an algorithm for solving the problem of separation of state variables for a linear discrete control system with a small step. An equivalent system obtained with a complete separation of state variables has all the properties of the original system. It consists of two low-order subsystems, the solutions of which are found independently, and they are connected only by the control function.
