Abstract
This paper presents a hard- and software concept for the integration of modern condition monitoring devices into electric power network control and management systems. The concept is based on a distributed database and on a central system definition, which describes the entire setup. A system definition language is proposed, where all aspects of data such as location within the system, permission of access, interfaces, statistical and economical evaluation, storage and visualization can be defined. The system definition language is hierarchical and object oriented. An experimental setup for online monitoring purposes is described, where the methods proposed are applied.
