Abstract

In order to achieve simulation of some weapons system, a background picture should be moved quickly by S3C2440 processor which is based on ARM9. However, it is very difficult to realize high-speed image processing through conventional solutions because of the limitations of hardware resources in the embedded system. In this paper, we discuss the factors that may affect display speed, and propose solution that is writing the display buffer directly according to DMA technology and software algorithm. As result, a smooth and stable of fast-moving images are achieved. It provides a good reference to graphics development on embedded systems.
