Photon interactions at high energies

Abstract

Abstract Photon induced processes have been studied over the last 25 years at e+ e− colliders via so called two-photon interactions. The measurements have provided a wealth of data on the structure of the photon and on high energy photon interactions. Photon interactions are now also studied at the ep collider HERA. In future, this experimental program will continue at the LHC and the next linear collider, in particular when a photon collider option would be realized. These lectures give an overview of the present data and short term expectations, and a glimpse of the future through the experimental program of photon colliders.
