Abstract

Small signal stability is the system ability to maintain synchronism when a small disturbance occurs. The permanent magnet stepper motor (PMSM) is generally two-phase. The nonlinear dynamics of a PMSM by means of linearized model is studied in this paper. The state space averaging approach is used to derive the small signal model. Finally, results simulation for three motor have been reported and compared.
