An Empirical Study on College English Flipped Classroom Teaching Model

Abstract

This paper explores the feasibility and advantages of the application of flipped classroom teaching model based on “Zone of Proximal Development” theory to college English teaching. The study covers introduction, relative theory, research design, experimental results and conclusion. The results have proved that college English flipped classroom teaching model based on “zone of proximal development” theory is applicable and effective, which not only can improve students’ English ability more effectively but also can increase students’ engagement in class.
