The Learning Skills Deficit among Higher Education Students

Abstract

Abstract Remedial learning has been an ongoing trend within higher education for some time, but a cumulation of structural issues at both post primary and tertiary/higher education level has compounded the problem. This paper analyses the problem and considers the extent to which intervention at practitioner level can alleviate problems (and to what extent structural change is required).
