We are interested in investigating the discursive constructions of the directors of the National University of La Plata and those in charge of the boarding schools, which indicate correct and incorrect ways of being or becoming a man, in a new pedagogical experience for the time. From a qualitative methodology, the study of a case is proposed, which is interesting in itself. We find that, in a homosocial space, the formation of responsibility and character is fostered, in an effort to produce strong and healthy men.
