Abstract

This paper presents a low-profile and compact size antenna for indoor mobile robot. The proposed antenna is formed as a parallel plate capacitor exciting by an electric probe. The electrical characteristics of the antenna are studied theoretically. The numerical results show that the antenna processes the bi-directional with the directivity of around 6 dBi at the frequency of 2.4 GHz. Also, the input return loss is greater than 30 dB can be obtained.
