Abstract
Sensor nodes with minimal energy make up the bulk of cognitive wireless sensor networks. Head-set routing protocols are critical for reducing energy consumption in cognitive wireless sensor networks. The IEE-LEACH (improved energy efficient low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy) has a protocol architecture adapted to CWSNs. The IEE-LEACH protocol, on the other hand, will increase the network's energy consumption if the distribution of cluster heads (CHs) in the circulation process is ignored. In this paper, an alternate routing protocol to increase the CWSN's energy efficiency. The residual node energy and the average energy of the networks are taken into account by the newly proposed improved Squirrel search algorithm .If the cluster head(CH) is in died condition, the neighbor node can replace as the cluster head to the whole CWSNs . To increase the energy efficiency of the networks, the proposed algorithm uses a new threshold for electing CHs among the sensor nodes .The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm greatly improves throughput as compared to some current routing protocols.
