Besides, the article has investigated the effect of some structural parameters on the operation of automatic system. Abstract

Automatic system, whose kinematic characteristics have the direct bearing on the stability of the whole system, is the key constituent element of automatic weapon. It has a complex construction and works with high precision requirements. In the article, the authors mentioned the operation of the breech system with blow-back breech under the effect of the firing force. Calculation results are applied to the AGS-17 grenade launcher produced by the (former) Soviet Union and based on the manufacturer’s parameters as well as the test measurement results to evaluate the validity of the mathematical model.
