Abstract

A virtual mechanical manufacturing experimental system is constructed by using Virtools, 3Ds Max and Inventor technologies, and it achieves the 3D interactive scene simulation of the mechanical manufacturing process. In order to enhance the immersed feeling and facticity of the simulation process in the virtual mechanical manufacturing experimental system, the virtual human avatar that can manipulate machines and related equipment indirectly is used in it. The application of virtual experimental system in the engineering experiment training can avoid accidents and facility damages that happen in the real environment, and it provides a new training mode for mechanical manufacturing experimental instruction.
