A Comparison Of Dersim Alevism and Yarasanizm in Terms of Belief, Worship, and Organization

Abstract

The belief in Alevism in Dersim and the belief in Yarsanism (Ahl-e Haqq), whose members live inside the official boundaries of Iran and Iraq, are examined in terms of belief, worship, and organization in this research. Who are the Yarsans? What designations are used for them? What name do the Yarsan call themselves and how do they introduce their beliefs? What are the common and different points between the Alevis of Dersim and the Yarsans? Such questions were generally sought to be answered. This study's contents are studies on both beliefs.
