The article deals with this type of transtextuality as paratextuality in the novel «Six Days, or The Crown of the Ostrozky House» by the modern Ukrainian historical writer Petro Kraliuk. It has been established that both literary critics and linguists have paid attention to the study of paratext. It has been found that paratextual elements (title, epigraph, subtitle, preface, afterword) become a threshold for the reader to the main text. The meaning of the double title in the novel (two semantic centers – the Six Days and the Crown) was considered. Emphasis is placed on the role of dedication to Igor Pasichnyk in the work (thanks for the idea of writing and reflection on the possibility of understanding history). Attention was paid to each chapter of the novel (6 in all), because they have titles (a certain color and topos) that reveal the meaning of what is happening in them. The key significance of coloristics in the art world «Six Days» («Green color. Tours», «Gray color. Kyiv», «Black color. Warsaw», «Yellow color. Derman», «Yellow color. Derman», «Red color. Dubno», «Gold color» is traced). Jail »). It is established what role the crown plays in the work, what is the connection between the crown and the title of the novel. The protagonist leaves behind not only material heritage, but also spiritual (printing and education), which is of paramount importance for his descendants.
