The proposed antenna comprised a dual-band main inverted-F resonator and two parasitic elements. This compact antenna operates in GSM900, DCS, PCS, UMTS, Bluetooth/WLAN, WiMAX, HiperLAN/2 and IEEE 802.11a, with return loss better than −6 dB. The wide bandwidth was achieved by just using the capacitive-coupled parasitic element. Simulation was performed here by HFSS to optimally design the antenna and the practical structure was also fabricated to verify the simulation results.
