Abstract

Maintenance operations are mainly aimed at avoiding and reducing the leakages in petroleum facilities, there is a high risk of hydrocarbon release during maintenance operation. Maintenance is a socio-technical process, consisting of several human, technical and organizational factors, each with a potential to affect the risk of hydrocarbon release.
