We used a technique for detecting as well as defending against a cooperative black hole attack using True-link concept. True-link is a timing based countermeasure to the cooperative black hole attack. Abstract

Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of communication devices or nodes that wish to communicate without any fixed infrastructure and predetermined organization of available links. Security is a major challenge for these networks owing to their features of open medium, dynamically changing topologies. A black hole is a malicious node that falsely replies for any route requests without having active route to specified destination and drops all the receiving packets.
