Abstract
As the terminal of the sound reproduction system, the sound quality of the loudspeakers will directly affect the performance of the entire system. Since the appearance of the loudspeaker, from empirical research to parametric analysis and then to computer simulation, engineers have been working to find convenient and reliable methods to design high-quality loudspeakers. In this paper, a virtual prototype of an axisymmetric moving-coil loudspeaker is established through COMSOL Multiphysics and verified through experiments. Further analysis and research, such as the roles that dust caps and phase plugs play in the loudspeaker design and the effect of air viscosity, is based on the virtual prototype.
