In this paper, we introduce a new handover process designed for improving handover performance in terms of handover latency. The proposed handover process allows to inform the home network prefix assigned to a moving mobile node to the new network and receive data packets destined for the mobile node immediately. We evaluate the handover latency of the proposed one compared to that of Proxy Mobile IPv6. Abstract
