Abstract

Static uninterruptible power supplies are becoming an integral part of critical loads; like telecommunication systems, industrial process control systems, etc. This fact has stimulated the design and production of high performance, reliable yet reasonably cheap USP's. These sources generally consist of a rectifier, a back-up battery and a sine-wave inverter. This work focuses its attention on to the inverter part of a UPS and a novel high performance push-pull inverter is described.
