DC-DC converter has major significance in the renewable grid-connected power applications because of the low voltage PV arrays. A soft switching dc/dc converter with high voltage gain is proposed in this paper. DC-DC converter is an electronic device which is used to change DC power efficiency from one voltage level to another. The characteristics of the soft switching will generally reduce the use of switching losses and increases its overall efficiency. Generally the boosting of voltage results in the reduction of efficiency. To handle this problem, this paper proposes a high gain interleaved dc boost converter intermediate capacitor and leakage inductor. The input energy is generally stored in the magnetic field of coupled without any losses. A passive clamp network around the inductors provides the recovery of energy through leakage inductance leading to improvement in the voltage gain and efficiency. The advantage of passive clamp network is that it reduces voltage stress on the switch. The duty cycle values are not required in this proposal so it does not have an reverse recovery problem.
