Abstract
The development of the submersible electric motors for the submersible electric centrifugal pumps is a complex technical problemю This article analyzes the problems encountered in the design and in the operation of submersible electric motors. To solve these problems, recommendations for the design of the submersible electric motors were developed. The application of these recommendations made it possible to design a thyratron motor for the oil industry with a power of 45 kW, speed of 6000 rpm, an active length of 2200 mm and a weight of 52 kg.
